Chapter Twelve
Logan Vega
Faith rode off into the night, and something about it felt off. I was sick of seeing her leave me every night and not knowing if she was coming back in the morning. That day threw me off, especially if we did something that made her uncomfortable. Oral sex was uncomfortable, but fuck, if my fingering her sent her packing, who knew what her sucking my dick would do? And fuck, if she didn’t just suck it, the woman swallowed it. It grew hard just thinking about those fuckable lips wrapped around him. That was a shock if I ever had one. The moment she slid to her knees, I knew I was going to buckle. Whatever she wanted, she could get. Her mouth on my dick was the icing I needed.
That evening, I stayed up again, but not due to unrest, just plain ole giddiness. I was excited, and I couldn’t wait until tomorrow—like I literally could not wait until I saw her again.
The next morning, I was up and cooked breakfast, but after waiting fifteen minutes, I hadn’t heard from her. Faith was never late. As a matter of fact, she was always early. Another fifteen minutes went by, and I decided to text her. Then another fifteen minutes went by, and by then, Casey was up.
“Where is Ms. Jacobs?” He sleepily walked out of his room, wiping his eyes.
“Hey, buddy, I think she’s sick,” I told him anything so he wouldn’t ask any more questions.
“Oh no . . .” he said with a yawn. “That means I got to be extra good today.”
A small laugh burst out before I asked, “Why do you say that?”
“When she’s not here, she wants me to be extra good. I told her I am good, but she said, ‘Be better than good.’ So I have to be extra good. I’m going to brush my teeth now.”
“Okay, buddy.” I smiled at the sweet kid, who I could thank two women for birthing, raising, and helping to rear him.
That moment was lost when a frantic Faith didn’t come through my door, out of breath, telling me how she was stuck on the train or something. As I took Casey to school, I called Ms. Edness, who answered the first ring.
“Mr. Vega, sir, I was just about to call you.” Her voice was frantic, and my heart dropped.
Something was wrong and had been this whole time.
“One second, ma’am.” I need to take the phone off speaker and see Casey inside.
“Bye, Dad, I got it from here.” He proceeded to get out of the car when we were in front of the school.
“You sure, buddy?” I asked, twisted around to see him already out of the vehicle.
“Yeah, I’m a big boy now. I’m about to be eight. No eight-year-old’s parent walks them inside.” He waved and ran off with the lunch that I threw together.
It wasn’t as nice as Faith’s, but peanut butter on hamburger rolls with frozen carrots and beets should hold him over until dinner.
